13–14cm
Hume's short-toed lark is found in south-central Asia from Iran and Kazakhstan to China. It grows to 13 to 14cm long, with the sexes alike, and is similar in size and appearance to the greater short-toed lark but generally duller with slightly darker plumage and a slightly smaller beak (Wikipedia, general species account).
The crown is brown with slight diffuse streaking, the cheeks rufous-brown and the supercilium white, and the greyish-brown wings have black barring and pale feather tips. The source read gives no habitat, diet or breeding information, and does not name Bhutan, so none is stated.
