The Chinese mountain pit viper is a pit viper found in Asia, with a short snout a little more than twice the eye diameter. The crown is covered by small scales rather than large shields, and the body scales are usually smooth and feebly overlapping. Males reach about 49cm in total length and females about 110cm (Wikipedia, general species account).
The Reptile Database lists Bhutan together with north-east India, Nepal and Myanmar. Recent taxonomic work suggests that most of its subspecies should be treated as separate species, so animals recorded in Bhutan may belong to a different species. Nothing on diet, habitat or breeding was found in the sources opened.
