Tickell's leaf warbler is a leaf warbler found in Bangladesh, Bhutan, China, India, Myanmar, Nepal, Pakistan and Thailand. It has a yellowish underside and supercilium, slim dark legs with a largely pale lower mandible and a greyish wing panel; the clear yellowish underside and lack of a wing bar help tell it from similar species (Wikipedia, general species account).
Like other leaf warblers it feeds mostly on insects by gleaning and short sallies. It is an active bird that prefers the canopy and low shrubbery and can be hard to follow as it moves from branch to branch, exploring the underside of leaves and twigs. From May to August it builds a nest of dry grasses and plant fibres, and it breeds among rocks and low bushes in barren mountains.
