The slender-billed scimitar babbler is an Old World babbler found from the Himalayas to north-western Vietnam. Its natural habitat is subtropical or tropical moist montane forest (Wikipedia, general species account).
It was formerly placed in the monotypic genus Xiphirhynchus, and was moved to Pomatorhinus after a 2009 molecular study of the babblers showed it nested within a clade of other Pomatorhinus members. The source read does not name Bhutan, and gives no plumage, size, diet or breeding information.
